Coleman slide

A good slide to learn first.

1.With a bit of speed, carve a frontside drop-knee g-turn (crouch down fully and be sure to roll your back foot onto the side of your big toe)

 2. As you carve plant your front hand onto the ground and let it drag a bit. Pull the carve tighter and keep your weight forward over the deck, you have to push the nose and stop the tail sliding out using the back foot.

3.As the board breaks (hopefully) into a powerslide. Suport some of your weight with the sliding arm. Stay in the same position or its probably going to hurt.

4.bring your other hand around smoothly as if to punch. . This is important as swinging the free hand controls the slide direction. Now you can stop and get off, or stand up and 180 kick-turn back down the hill.

If you have a deck with a kick. This may sound a bit complicated but it is a natural move and easy to learn. These slides are a lot of fun and safe to do, even with real speed.
