stance
There are three basic stances. These are:
- front (downhill)
- mid (for cruising)
- tail/back (surfskating)
The names are quite self explanotory but ill tell you and use pictures.
Front stance: Both your feet are at the front of your board, one almost on the front truck
and one just a bit further forward than the middle.

Mid stance: This is the most common stance. One of your feet is betwean the front truck and
the middle and the other is betwean the back truck and the middle of the board.

Tail stance:This stance is used on surf or hybrid style boards. Both feet are in the
bottom half of the board.

The basics of all the stances are the same. Like the way your legs are. In all the stances
you need to bend your knees and relax. If you find the stance that you like best and remember these points your
half way to being a good longboarder.
